Thanks for visiting DCCDude.com.  My name is Tad Leffelman and I reside in The Villages, FL.  I received my first model train when I was five years old, a Lionel O-gauge Pennsylvania 4-8-4 that I own to this day.  The Pennsy I adored as child spent the next 50 years boxed up and traveling the country as I moved from coast to coast.  One of those early stops along the way was college, DeVry Institute of Technology in Phoenix.  I studied electronic engineering during the pioneering days of semiconductors.  That backbone of mathmatics and electronics would come to serve me well later in the hobby.

In 2015 I purchased a handfull of Peco flex track, a Digitrax Zephyr DCC Conroller, and an Athearn Genesis SD60M that was DCC Ready.  I installed my first sound decoder, a Soundtraxx Tsunami TSU-1000 in that loco and my love of the hobby was rekindled.  In 2017, I attended a hands-on workshop at Soundtraxx's corporate headquarters in Durango, Colorado.  I spent several days mastering the skills necessary to correctly install, program, and calibrate their products.  Personally I own well over 100 HO and N scale locomotives, plastic and brass.  The vast majority of these locomotives have Soundtraxx Tsunami2 decoders installed.  I own and have installed a variety of other decoder brands, TCS-LokSound-Digitrax-Lenz-Paragon-QSI.  Hands down, the Soundtraxx family of decoders are my favorite.  Important to me is that Soundtraxx is an American company and their decoders are manufactured in Durango, CO (U.S.A.).

In 2018 I had a chance encounter with Doug Soard of Model Train Market in Ocala, FL.  Doug's story is amazing and his business is incredible, I encourage you to click on one of the many Model Train Market links I have included throughout my website.  I completed a few projects for Doug and our relationship was established.  Model Train Market is an Authorized Soundtraxx Dealer and I am a professional installer for the Soundtraxx product line.  If you wish to perform your own installations, I encourage you to consider Model Train Market for you decoders and supplies.  Their prices are competitive and you won't find better customer service on the planet, period!

Mission Statement:  "I will deliver leading edge technologies using state of the art equipment.  I will meet or exceed expectations in every aspect of sound and mobile decoder installations and locomotive repairs.  I will do this in timely fashion using superior products at reasonable, competitive pricing."
